What is ChapterPulse?

ChapterPulse is a chapter intelligence platform for PMI chapter boards and VPs. Pulse AI lets you ask questions about your chapter data in plain English and get answers with charts. The platform also includes branded newsletter composition, event registration tracking, member directories, automated partner reports, volunteer coordination, and a mobile companion app for event check-in and on-the-go insights.

How much does ChapterPulse cost?

ChapterPulse has three plans: Compose at $100/month (3 seats), Operate at $199/month (5 seats), and Insights at $299/month (10 seats). All plans include guided implementation starting at $1,200. We discuss the right fit during your demo. Pricing is preliminary and may change.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. ChapterPulse offers a 30-day free trial with access to the visual email builder. No credit card is required. Reports, analytics, and insights are demonstrated during a guided demo using a seeded environment with sample chapter data, since those features require implementation to connect your chapter's live data.

What's included in implementation?

All plans include guided implementation starting at $1,200. Setup covers chapter branding, account configuration, and integration with your existing tools such as Mailchimp, Dark Rhino, StarChapter, or ThoughtSpot. For Operate and Insights, implementation scope is broader and is scoped during your demo consultation.

How are seats counted?

Each plan includes a seat allotment (Compose 3, Operate 8, Insights 12) shared across your board. All roles count as seats: Owner, Admin, Editor, Analyst, and Viewer. Additional seats are available at $12 per seat per month across all tiers. Fully customizable per-member role-based access control is included on every plan, and Insights adds reusable custom role templates.

Can I switch tiers later?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep the features you've already paid for through the cycle.

Do you offer custom domains?

Yes. Every plan includes a free chaptername.chapterpulse.com subdomain. A custom domain add-on is available for $100 per month that lets you host ChapterPulse on your own subdomain, such as insights.pmichapter.com or ai.pmichapter.com.

Does ChapterPulse work with Mailchimp?

Yes. ChapterPulse generates Mailchimp-compatible HTML that you copy directly into a Mailchimp campaign. No API integration is required. Your newsletters will look exactly as designed.

Is ChapterPulse affiliated with PMI?

No. ChapterPulse is an independent product built by NekoTech Ventures Inc. PMI and the PMI logo are registered trademarks of the Project Management Institute, Inc. ChapterPulse is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PMI.

Does ChapterPulse handle anti-spam compliance?

Yes. Both CASL (Canada) and CAN-SPAM (US) compliance are built into the newsletter builder. ChapterPulse automatically applies the correct compliance text based on your chapter's country, and includes configurable unsubscribe links, mailing address fields, and consent-aware templates.

How is member data protected when AI features are used?

AI-assisted drafting and Conversational Insights are routed through the Vercel AI Gateway, which enforces zero data retention at the team level. Prompts and responses are not stored by any provider in the routing chain, not logged for human review, and never used to train or fine-tune models. Vercel only routes to providers with negotiated ZDR agreements, which gives us flexibility to adopt new models as the technology evolves without changing your privacy posture. Insights queries respect row-level security and column-level PII gating, so the model only sees what the asking user is already permitted to see. How are integration credentials (ThoughtSpot, Mailchimp, etc.) stored?

Credentials for integrations like ThoughtSpot, Dark Rhino, StarChapter, and Mailchimp are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before they reach the database. Once saved they are never returned to any client, not even the admin who entered them. Sync jobs decrypt them in server memory just long enough to run, and the settings page only allows replacement, not retrieval. Like any well-designed password field, you can rotate it but nobody can read it back.

What happens if our board changes?

Knowledge stays in the system. Drafts, templates, reports, and member data persist across board transitions. Role-based access means new members get appropriate permissions immediately, and outgoing members can be reassigned or removed without losing any organizational history.
