Membership reports, event registrations, data exports, and how your chapter's data flows into ChapterPulse.

Dashboard overview

The main dashboard shows key metrics for your chapter: active member count, renewal rate trends, upcoming event attendance, and year-over-year growth. Data refreshes nightly from your connected sources. If a metric looks stale, check the sync status under Settings > Connections.

Data sources

ChapterPulse pulls data from up to three platforms, depending on your chapter's setup:

  • ThoughtSpot: PMI member roster, certifications, designations, tenure, and renewal dates
  • StarChapter: event registrations, payment records, attendance, and store orders
  • Dark Rhino: alternative membership data source (some chapters use this instead of ThoughtSpot)

When multiple sources provide the same field (e.g. member email), ChapterPulse uses a priority system to keep the most accurate value.

Membership reports

Membership data includes active members, expired members, and historical snapshots. Key reports:

  • Current roster: active members with contact info, certifications, and company
  • Renewal rates: cohort-based renewal math using monthly snapshots, not current-state approximations
  • Growth trends: year-over-year member count, new joins, and churn

Event and registration data

If your chapter uses StarChapter, ChapterPulse tracks event registrations, attendance (via the check-in feature), and payment records. You can see who attended, who registered but did not show, and revenue breakdowns by event. Walk-in attendees added during check-in are included automatically.

CSV exports

Under Reports > Exports, you can download CSV files for use in spreadsheets or other tools. Available exports depend on your plan:

  • Operate: up to 5 configured exports
  • Insights: unlimited exports

Exports can be scheduled to run automatically or triggered on demand. Each export keeps a history of past runs.
